Turner Bates is a 19-year-old country singer-songwriter from Cochrane, Alberta, just outside his hometown of Calgary. Rooted in a family farming tradition dating back to 1907, Bates draws inspiration from rural life, blending country and folk storytelling into his music.

After graduating from Bow Valley High School, Bates quickly gained recognition in Alberta’s country music scene. He performed on the Big Valley Jamboree Horizon Stage and released his debut single, “Where I Belong,” in May 2025. His earlier acoustic track, “Fight the Storm,” showcases his emotive songwriting and smooth vocals.

Bow Valley Boot Stomp is a lively two-day country music festival in the heart of the Bow River Valley, featuring live performances, dancing, food vendors, games, and outdoor fun.
