Cochrane’s highly anticipated Bow Valley Boot Stomp is just around the corner, and organizers are promising an exciting experience for country music lovers.

The festival, taking place July 18th and 19th, will feature a stellar lineup of emerging artists and established talent, with a special focus on giving up-and-coming musicians the chance to shine on the festival stage.

“We’re really excited about this year’s headliners,” said Kailey Mitchell, with Quirk Social. “We’ve shifted our focus to spotlight some incredible emerging artists who are getting their first chance to headline a festival, and we’re thrilled to be a part of their journey.”

On Friday, Teigen Gayse will take the stage as the headliner, bringing her electrifying energy to the crowd. Mitchell, who has seen Gayse perform three times, describes her as “vibrating with energy,” adding, “She’s just incredible, and I can’t wait for everyone to experience her performance.”

Saturday’s headliner will be Tony Stevens, a rising star from BC. Known for hits like “Whiskey in Colorado” and his recent track, “When I Hear That Song,” Stevens’ set will be one to remember. Mitchell is particularly excited about his song “Cochrane Ave.,” which she says captures the spirit of the community.

The festival kicks off on Friday with local favourite Foxx Worthee, followed by rising talent like Riley Taylor, whose songs “Five Beers From Now” and “Hometowns” have earned him a loyal following.

Saturday’s lineup includes Jennie Harluk, Annika Catharina, Travis Dolter, and Kyle McKearney, with each artist bringing their own unique flavour to the stage. Dolter, known for his high-energy performances and line dance moves, promises to get the crowd on their feet, while McKearney’s seven-piece band and unique Métis country style will surely captivate.

Mitchell also hints at some new additions this year, including a community stage showcasing local talent and a barn after-party to keep the music flowing into the night.

“It’s going to be a weekend of music, community, and fun for the whole family,” she said.

“We want people to come, enjoy the music, and feel the energy of this community. It’s going to be a great time,” Mitchell added.

Don’t miss out on Cochrane’s only country music festival, happening July 18th and 19th.
